Education is considered as a real treasure of a nation since it contributes significantly in its growth. In view of developing educational facilities in Northern Karnataka area, especially in the field of professional education, Soniya Education Trust was established in the year 1990. Thereafter, considering lack of credible academic centre for studying Pharmaceutical Science, the Trust established a College of Pharmacy as its first venture at Dharwad with Degree and Diploma courses initially. The Trust then purchased five acres of land in the city and a full-fledged College of Pharmacy was established with Post graduation, Pharm D and PhD courses being added. Later on, in the year 2006, a College of Education was formed with an aim to provide quality teachers for Primary and Secondary Education.The Trust has expanded in the field of education by setting up Pre-University and Degree colleges at Dharwad. Further, another College of Pharmacy was started in 2018 at Kagwad with the purpose of extending quality education in rural areas in the field of Pharmacy.

The College of Pharmacy at Dharwad has been recognized among the standard Pharmacy colleges in the country and placed in NIRF ranking. The college has maintained excellent academic performance and has secured high number of University ranks. The academic staff are actively involved in research activities, and quite a good number of research projects have been received for the college. Further, the academic staff has numerous research publications in National and International Journals. For the students, the college has developed the necessary infrastructure by creating sophisticated laboratories and library facilities, research and industrial training.The Alumni of the institute are spread all over the world having excellent career profiles. The institute is committed in developing with the goal of achieving a global standard.
